A permission slip tracker for parents with more than one kid

Permission slips fail in a predictable way: the slip is signed but never goes back, or the money goes in but the form doesn't, or one parent handled it and the other doesn't know.

A tracker fixes that by holding three facts per slip — which child, what's still needed, and when it's due — somewhere both adults can see.

What to record for every slip

  • Which child it belongs to
  • The trip or activity it covers
  • The return deadline (not the trip date — they're different)
  • Whether it needs a signature, money, or both
  • Done or not done

Track the return date, not the trip date

The trip date is the one printed largest, but the deadline that matters is when the slip has to be back at school. Track that, and put the trip on the calendar separately.

Make it visible to both parents

A tracker in one person's notes app is a single point of failure. Anything shared — a shared list, a shared calendar, or a family app both adults sign into — survives a busy week.

How Family Schedule Hub tracks slips

Paste the email or photograph the slip; the AI creates a to-do tagged with the child, the action ('sign and return', 'send $6') and the due date. The to-do list groups by category, flags anything overdue in red, and sends a push reminder for items still unchecked. Invite your partner or a grandparent and everyone sees the same list.

Common questions

How do I keep track of permission slips for multiple children?
Tag every slip with the child it belongs to and sort by due date. Family Schedule Hub gives each child a color and a filter tab, so you can see one child's outstanding forms in a tap.
Can I get reminders for unsigned slips?
Yes. Add the app to your home screen and enable notifications, and unchecked to-dos trigger a reminder.
Is there a free permission slip tracker?
Family Schedule Hub is free, including shared family access and unlimited extraction.
