Privacy Notice
Last updated 7 August 2026
Ashley Marie Judd, trading as School Command Center, is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. This means we decide why and how your personal data is processed when you use the Service.
What we collect and why
- Account data (email address, password hash, sign-in timestamps) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Family and schedule content (children's first names and colour labels, the text and images you paste or upload, and the extracted events, deadlines, notes, and to-dos) — to provide the core function of the Service. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Family workspace membership (which accounts share a family, invite codes) — to support shared access. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
- Push notification tokens (device push endpoint and encryption keys) — to send you reminders about unchecked to-dos, only if you turn reminders on. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the app.
- Technical and security data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) — to keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and diagnose problems. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in operating a secure service.
- Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Please avoid pasting content you do not want processed. Because the content you submit may mention children, we treat it as sensitive and restrict access to your family workspace only.
Who we share it with
- Hosting and database providers that store your account and schedule data on our behalf.
- Anthropic, our AI provider, which processes the notice text and images you submit in order to extract schedule items. We do not permit your content to be used to train their models.
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle collects your billing details directly; we never see or store your card number.
- Push notification services operated by your browser or device vendor, which deliver reminders to your device.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
Some of these providers are located outside your country. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and schedule data for as long as your account is open. If you delete an item, or use "Clear all saved items", it is removed from our live database. If you stop using the Service, we delete or anonymise your data within 12 months of your last activity. Security and billing records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent. You can export everything as JSON at any time from the app's settings screen. To exercise any right, email support@familyschedulehub.com — we respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest, row-level access rules that restrict every record to your own family workspace, and least-privilege access controls.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local browser storage only — to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Our checkout provider, Paddle, may set cookies necessary to process your payment. You can clear this storage at any time in your browser settings, though this will sign you out.
